  John Anderson has been photographing ocean wildlife for more than twenty-five years. Born ~forty five years ago to Donna and John senior, Anderson junior spent most of his spare time on the shore or in the waters of the Pacific. Encouraged by family and friends, Anderson learned about his surrounding environment, which helped instill a healthy respect for our world oceans.   Bridging the Ocean Divide begins an exploration of cultural perspectives on ocean & dolphin conservation in the US and Japan with a look into history through early Japanese and American art. Our story begins with the event in history that linked the US and Japan forever. Years later, another bridge formed between two small communities – New Bedford, Massachusetts & Mikura Island, Japan.
